What Are Group Homes?
Group homes are residential homes shared by a small number of individuals with similar support needs. Residents live together and receive professional care from trained staff who are on-site 24/7. Each home is designed to promote independence while ensuring safety, health, and well-being.
This model is ideal for individuals who benefit from a structured environment but still want to live in a place that feels like home—not an institution. It’s a great fit for those who enjoy peer interaction, predictable routines, and meaningful day-to-day experiences.
What You’ll Find In Our Group Homes
When a loved one joins a Vibrant SCL group home, they become part of a supportive household designed to feel just like home — not a facility. Each home includes:
24/7 professional support staff trained in ID/DD care and behavioral health
Fully furnished private or shared bedrooms
Nutritious meal planning and preparation with resident input
Medication management and healthcare coordination
Daily living support including hygiene, routines, and mobility
Transportation to appointments, community outings, and day programs
Housekeeping and laundry services
Personal goal tracking and skill-building opportunities
We partner closely with guardians, case managers, and residents to ensure every home meets physical, emotional, and developmental needs.
Friendship and Belonging
Group home life naturally fosters friendships and connection. Residents share meals, routines, and everyday moments, all supported by staff who encourage respectful communication and inclusion.
Community Involvement
Residents stay active through local outings, volunteer work, and events like the Special Olympics. These experiences help build confidence and a routine outside the home.
Safety and Peace of Mind
Our homes are licensed, professionally staffed, and closely monitored. With low staff-to-resident ratios and clear communication with families, we ensure a safe, consistent, and trustworthy environment.
